Olivia Kron

Exploring the inner universe, the confrontation with the feminine, the subconscious, our emotive states and experiences as well as the invisible energies and nature are the main sources of Olivia’s inspiration. She is interested in the non-rational, the intuitive, that which cannot be grasped in words or with the mind. The artistic freedom to create, explore and express, without guidelines and frames, is central to her work. What are we all aiming for? Where can we liberate ourselves from family, educational and cultural conditioning? Where and how can we surrender in full devotion?

She was born 1979 near Zurich, Switzerland and grew up in the Zurich region. After a graduation in languages, she studied Interior Design in Perugia, Italy. During this period, she created several ceramic works for “Opera Nova, ceramica artigianale”. 2003 she did an internship at the architecture office “Tartaglia” in Rome. Back in Zurich, after some figure and portrait courses at “Serge Pinkus” she attended sculpture courses at the work year of “Al’Eu“ and at the “Scuola di Scultura” in Peccia (Switzerland). As mother of two sons she lives and works in Zurich.
